A Curious Mind
I’ve always been fascinated by how things work.
Why do two businesses selling the same thing get completely different results? Why do some companies grow while others struggle? Why do certain systems create momentum while others constantly need fixing.
That curiosity has shaped almost every part of my life – and it’s what eventually led me to marketing.
Lessons Beyond Marketing
I’ve been studying and practicing marketing for over a decade, but some of my most valuable lessons came outside of it.
Years in the service industry – and later in leadership and operations – taught me what it actually takes to run a business. I watched owners lose sleep over payroll, employees depend on a successful weekend, and entire months hinge on a handful of good decisions.
When you’ve helped keep the doors open, you stop chasing vanity metrics (things like page views, social followers, & email list size) and start focusing on what really matters: revenue, profitability, and sustainable growth.
What Makes Me, Me
Outside of work, I’m usually chasing whatever has captured my curiosity that week. One day I’m reading about history or theology, the next I’m diving into economics, software development, artificial intelligence, falling down an obscure YouTube rabbit hole, or debating ideas on X.
I love sports – especially the Jacksonville Jaguars, St. Louis Cardinals, and St. Louis Blues – as well as cooking, staying active, playing chess, and discovering (or brewing) great craft beer.
I’m a proud dad in a blended family, and that’s the role me the greatest joy. Raising two boys has taught me that growth doesn’t happen overnight – it comes through patience, consistency, and showing up every day. Those same principles build great businesses.
